NDIS Champions: Emerging Grassroots Leaders

26 Jul 2016

A monitor with a person with one arm raised up in the air, wearing a medal around their neck with 'NDIS' in it.Many people with disabilities and their families do not know what the NDIS is, how it works, what it will mean for them, or where to find good information about it. This is where you come in!

We are looking for 30 people with disabilities to become NDIS Champions. The NDIS Champions will be paid $30 per hour for their work, including training.

Adelaide NDIS Opportunities Workshops (9, 10 August)

20 Jul 2016

A monitor with a person presenting information about the NDIS to a group.

The NDIS Opportunities series of free workshops have been developed to resource and assist small community organisations as they navigate the significant changes the new market environment brings.

These workshops are ideal for Adelaide based CEOs, senior managers and Board members, to help build the capacity of their organisations.

Adelaide NDIS Understanding Workshops (10, 11, 12 August)

20 Jul 2016

A monitor with a person presenting information about the NDIS to a group. The NDIS Understanding series are ‘Train the Trainer’ workshops that provide the information and resources organisations need to inform people with disability and families about the NDIS. These are particularly important now that the ‘Participant Pathway’ has changed with the ‘transition to full Scheme’ in July 2016.

These workshops are ideal for Adelaide based staff and volunteer trainers from community information, capacity building, and advocacy organisations who work directly to inform people with disability and their families.
