What is Disability Loop?
Disability Loop is a way to find out more about the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Through Disability Loop you can:
- Find a great selection of resources relating to the NDIS
- Find out how the NDIS is working for other people
- Have your say about the NDIS
- Keep up to date with news and events about the NDIS
Disability Loop is a project that has been paid for by the NDIS. It is run by, and for, people with disability and their allies.
Who pays for Disability Loop?
Disability Loop has was paid for by the NDIS Sector Development Fund (SDF) until late 2016. The SDF is money set aside to help people with disability to get ready for the NDIS.
From late 2016 onwards, a grant from the Victorian Government NDIS Transition Support Package has paid for Disability Loop.
Who runs Disability Loop?
The Australian Federation of Disability Organisations (AFDO) runs Disability Loop. AFDO is made up of organisations run by people with lived experience of disability across Australia. AFDO is not a part of the government.

What do Disability Loop staff know about disability?
Disability Loop is run by, and for, people with disabilities and their allies. AFDO staff have a disability themselves and/or have a family member with disability.
