NDIS ILC Toolkit, Program Guidelines, FAQ and Outcomes Framework Discussion Starter out now

It wasn't a part of the trial period, but it will begin operating soon. Today the NDIS released the ILC Toolkit, which is a resource designed to help organisations get involved with ILC. The Toolkit follows the release of several new ILC resources recently, including the Information, Linkages and Capacity Building (ILC) – Commissioning Framework and more supporting information. 

 

NDIS ILC Commissioning Framework has been released

A monitor with a hand holding an 'i', commonly used an a symbol for 'information', and 'ndis'.The NDIS has today released a document called ‘Information, Linkages and Capacity Building (ILC) – Commissioning Framework’. This talks about how the NDIS can help people with disability and their families, even if they are not NDIS participants. This is about making life better for all people with disability and their families, in lots of different ways. People used to call ILC 'Tier 2'.

 

AFDO NDIS Champions are ready and willing to work

A monitor with a person raising one arm, and wearing a symbolic NDIS medal.The Australian Federation of Disability Organisations (AFDO) is now offering an NDIS Champions program that has brought together a group of people with disabilities from all around Australia who can confidently provide information on the NDIS to groups in their local communities.

AFDO received nearly 150 applications for the 30 NDIS Champions positions, highlighting the demand and desire for people with disability to find meaningful, paid employment.
